To celebrate the release of JEANNE, we have brought together an international group of friends, contemporaries, fellow travellers and translators to share readings and performances of their work in this special edition radio programme originally broadcast with Montez Press Radio.

Arielle Burgdorf is an author and literary translator from French. They are interested in the intersections of language, gender, sexuality, and art. Their first novel, Prétend, was published in January 2024 by End of the Line Press.
Ami Xherro is a poet, translator, and performer working across idiosyncratic transcription exercises. She is co-founder and performer with the Toronto Experimental Translation Collective, who attempt to self-immolate using language, but also to push the practices of translation beyond the tongue and further into the body.
Cecily Chen is a writer and translator from Beijing, China. She is currently completing her PhD in English at the University of Chicago, where she writes about the “minor archive” of Asian American experimentalism, Marxist aesthetics, and gender and sexuality. You can find her writing at The Poetry Project, Entropy, and the tiny. She also edits poetry for Chicago Review.
JD Pluecker works with language, that is, a material thing, a thing of life and history. Her undisciplinary work inhabits the intersections of writing, history, translation, art, interpreting, bookmaking, queer/trans aesthetics, non-normative poetics, language justice, and cross-border cultural production.
Lily Robert-Foley is a writer, translator, teacher and scholar of translation studies. She holds a maîtresse de conférences position at the Université Paul Valéry Montpellier 3 in the English department. She is the author of Experimental Translation (Goldsmiths Press 2024), a monograph on the work of translation in the age of algorithmic production.
Yiannis Andronikidis is an art historian, writer, and translator. After studying History, Archaeology, and History of Art at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, he completed his thesis at the Edinburgh College of Art. In 2021, he initiated the research project, translation as an_archival process and the book, blUe magnets: a few millibreaths away from intimacy, A) GLIMPSE) OF), 2024.
Tom Harris is a producer and musical artist whose melody and ideas, rich explorations into ambient / electronic / experimental sounds contain a deep emotional charge. He works as a solo artist and through interdisciplinary collaborations.
